PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS

Our team members specialize in the assessment of cognitive and psychological functioning. We are board certified in clinical neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and have extensive experience in personality and psychological assessment. We provide assessment services for adolescents, adult, and geriatric individuals for the purposes of clarifying psychiatric diagnosis, determining fitness for weapons training and security certification, ACT 235 evaluations, and adoption evaluations.  We also provide psychological evaluations for medical procedures such as pain management Bariatric surgery, and Spinal Cord stimulator surgery.

A psychological evaluation typically involves the administration of standardized measures designed to construct a profile of the individual’s personality and psychological functioning.  Instruments may include the MMPI, MCMI, PAI, and/or Rorschach as well as other self- and other-report inventories.  We tailor each evaluation based on the individual needs of the client and the referral question.

The assessment process typically involves a clinical interview to obtain a comprehensive history, review of records, administration, scoring, and interpretation of tests, and a comprehensive report that summarizes findings and provides recommendations. A feedback session may also be included to further explain and discuss results.
